They are two of the most famous G1 Derby winners of our time, bred from the same G1 Arc-winning mare. Now, they're both excellent sources of staying Classic horses. Sea the Stars (Ire)'s top 3-year-olds are only two pounds inferior to those of his famous brother. No other sire gets as close. Mind you, Sea the Stars gets plenty of help from his mares. In fact, the numbers in brackets, which represent what his mares' average with other sires, suggest that his mates were even of a higher quality than Galileo (Ire)'s. Nothing is ever that simple. It seems that Sea the Stars covered proportionally more older proven mares in his early years than most sires tend to. Hence, the higher averages for his stock's siblings.
