There was farce early on at Longchamp as a false start to the five-furlong G1 Prix de l'Abbaye meant that the race will be delayed until after the last race (at 6.30pm local time). After the stall of Fleeting Spirit (Ire) failed to open, the Hungarian challenger Overdose (GB) and Andreas Suborics led home a handful of sprinters who completed the race unaware of the scenes behind.
