The Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream Selected 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, held in recent years at the beginning of March, has been moved to the end of the month to coincide with GI Florida Derby week, Fasig-Tipton announced Tuesday. The Under Tack show will be conducted Monday, Mar. 26, while the sale will be held Wednesday, Mar. 28. The 67th renewal of the Florida Derby will be run Saturday, Mar. 31.
“Moving our 2018 Gulfstream Sale three weeks later allows us to be a part of the excitement of Florida Derby week,” said Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning. “Positioning the sale around the Florida Derby should bring the auction added exposure, and the timing should work well for both buyers and sellers.”
