Fast Bullet Moved to WinStar
Fast Bullet (Speightstown–Renfro Valley Star, by Dayjur), a razor sharp winner of the 2013 GII True North S. at Belmont Park, will join his sire at WinStar Farm for the 2015 breeding season. Campaigned by Zayat Stables, Fast Bullet stood his first season at stud in 2014 at Ben and Elaine Walden’s Pauls Mill, which will not stand stallions in 2015. He stood for a fee of $7,500 in 2014. “Fast Bullet is the fastest son of Speightstown, who has really developed into one of today’s elite stallions,” WinStar Farm President/CEO Elliott Walden said. “Speightstown has enormous sire-of-sires potential with his great pedigree, and there isn’t a better-looking or more-talented candidate to do it than Fast Bullet. He mirrors him in every way: looks, class, and ‘God speed’ as Bob Baffert put it.” Walden continued, “Mr. Zayat knew how much I liked the horse, but we had committed to standing three new stallions already last year. When Ben decided he was getting out of the stallion business I told Mr. Z we had to have him at WinStar. We’ve seen what works with his sire, so I believe it’s a great fit.” An earner of $330,334, Fast Bullet hails out of a daughter of Eclipse Champion and GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies heroine Brave Raj.
