Fastnet Rock Colt Tops Inglis Day Two

The Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale bowled along Tuesday, with a colt by Coolmore stallion Fastnet Rock (Aus) showing the way on a bid of A$500,000 ($537,776) from Coolmore's own Demi O'Byrne and bloodstock agent James Bester. Consigned by Musk Creek Farm, the Oct. 10 foal is the latest produce from Bellevue Lady (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}), a half-sister to GSP Mango Daiquiri (Aus) (Cape Cross {Ire}). The colt hails from the extended female family of champions Mastery (GB) and Kirklees (Ire) and French G3 winner Bowman. The sale continues Wednesday with a full brother to former world champion turf sprinter Sacred Kingdom (Aus) (Encosta de Lago {Aus}) expected to feature.
