Fastnet Rock Colt Tops Karaka Day Two

Fastnet Rock (Aus) was once again all the rage during the second and final session of New Zealand Bloodstoc?s Premier Yearling Sale at Karaka overnight, being responsible for the top lot, lot 385, a colt who was hammered down to Te Akau Studメs David Ellis for NZ$700,000. From the draft of Pencarrow Stud, the colt is a half to Group 2 winner Te Akau Coup (NZ) (Thorn Park {Aus}). Another Coolmore sire, High Chaparral (Ire), registered the second-highest price of the session when lot 351, a colt out of multiple group winner Alagant Satin (NZ) (Al Akbar {NZ}), was picked up by Astute Bloodstock from Curraghmore Stud for NZ$550,000.
