Feathered Sells for a Ton at KEENOV

Feathered (Indian Charlie–Receipt, by Dynaformer) became the most recent addition to the formidable broodmare band at Laura Jane Lyon's Summer Wind Farm, hammering for $2.35 million. Consigned to the November Sale by Hill 'n' Dale Sales, Agent, the 4-year-old filly was placed twice at Grade I level at age two and again at three, when she finished second in the GI American Oaks at 10 furlongs on the turf. She was also victorious in that year's GIII Edgewood S. A maternal granddaughter of dual Grade I winner Finder's Fee (Storm Cat), Feathered's third dam includes MGSW Optimizer (English Channel) and his half-sister Lady Zuzu (Dynaformer), who sold earlier this week for an identical $2.35 million. Feathered was offered in foal to War Front.
