On the back of another good season headed by his Group 1 winning son Profitable (Ire), the Irish National Stud's flagship stallion Invincible Spirit (Ire) (Green Desert) will remain at a fee of €120,000 for 2017. There has been little change in the rest of the stud's roster save for successful first season sire Dragon Pulse (Ire) (Kyllachy {GB}) who has been bumped up to €8,000 from his 2016 fee of €5,000. His juvenile son Aethos (Ire) won the G3 Premio Guido Berardelli in Rome last Sunday and overall Dragon Pulse has enjoyed a very high percentage of winners to runners with his first crop. Also unchanged at €20,000 following his first year at stud is Free Eagle (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}). Announcing their 2017 fees Irish National Stud CEO John Osborne commented, “Following another year of great successes we are pleased to be able to hold our 2017 fees at 2016 levels with the exception of Dragon Pulse whose great performance by his first crop justifies a fee of €8,000.”
