Off the back of another stellar year both on the racetrack and in the sales ring, Yeomanstown Stud stallion Dark Angel (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}) has been given a hefty fee bump up to €85,000 for 2018 from €65,000 this year. Represented on course by two of the best sprinters in Europe this year in Harry Angel (Ire) and Battaash (Ire), in addition to G1 Queen Elizabeth II S. winner Persuasive (Ire), Dark Angel's yearlings also made up to 825,000gns and have been selling for an average of £157,721 in Britain and Ireland this year.

“Dark Angel has had another sensational year at stud, proving himself once again as an established Group 1 producer siring three individual Group 1 winners this year alone,” said Yeomanstown's Gay O'Callaghan. “Battaash and Harry Angel showcased their scintillating speed this season while Persuasive was the epitome of toughness and durability. Adding to this is a total of 24 stakes wins in 2017 and a stellar year in the sales ring,” he added

Yeomanstown recently announced the addition of El Kabeir (Scat Daddy) to their roster and the stakes winning juvenile will be introduced at a fee of €8,000. “Our new stallion El Kabeir, a son of Scat Daddy is a really exciting prospect, hailing from a deep female family. He's a wonderful looking individual and a high class performer being a multiple graded stakes winner at 2 and 3 from 5 furlongs to a mile and one sixteenth. He will give European breeders the opportunity to avail of precocious and speedy bloodlines,” O'Callaghan said.

Gutaifan (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) and Camacho (GB) (Danehill) are the other two stallions at the Naas based farm and their fees will remain unchanged for 2018 at €10,000 and €7,500 respectively.
