Darley rep John Ferguson saw off all challengers to land hip 178, a colt by Smart Strike out of SW Sluice (Seeking the Gold), for $750,000. The bay, selling through Denali Stud as property of Falls Creek Farm, is a half to GISW Mushka (Empire Maker) and is a grandson of MGISW Lakeway (Seattle Slew).
