First Black-Type Winner for Pedro the Great at La Teste de Buch

Pedro The Great | Racing Post

Feralia improved off a Apr. 15 debut third going five panels at Bordeaux-le-Bouscat by graduating over that same strip next time May 6, and went postward for this black-type bow coming off a five-furlong conditions score at Lyon Parilly June 1. Chasing the leaders in seventh after the initial strides, she made headway into contention with 300 metres remaining and stretched clear once launching her bid at the eighth pole to easily register a career high.

Feralia, half-sister to the yearling colt Great Bere (Fr) (Peer Gynt {Jpn}), becomes the first stakes scorer for her freshman sire (by Henrythenavigator) and is out of a half-sister to G3 Prix Exbury victor Polytechnicien (Royal Academy). Her second dam Golden Party (Seeking the Gold) is a half to GI Pacific Classic and GI Strub S.-winning sire Dare and Go (Alydar) and GI Sword Dancer Invitational-winning sire Go Deputy (Deputy Minister). Golden Party is also kin to the dam of GSW G1 Prix Marcel Boussac runner-up Quiet Royal (Royal Academy), from a family which includes GISW sire Quiet American (Fappiano).
