First-Crop Holy Roman Emperor Colt Makes 425K Guineas

A colt from the first crop of champion Holy Roman Emperor (Ire) (Danehill) out of dual Group 1 winner Tarascon (Ire) (Tirol {Ire}) was hammered down to Demi O'Byrne for 425,000 guineas to lead the way during the fifth and final session of the Tattersalls December Foal Sale in Newmarket Saturday afternoon. Consigned by Churchtown House Stud, the April foal is kin to three winners from as many to race, including the stakes-placed Mayano Sophia (Ire) (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}).
