Horseplayers can attempt to qualify for the National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) and the Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) at the same time in exclusive joint qualifiers on HorsePlayers.com starting Friday. The next major event on HorsePlayers.com, the new official qualifying site for the NHC and the BCBC, offers one “combo” prize package (1 NHC entry + 1 BCBC entry) per 65 entries.
Entry into the Friday qualifier is $344. “Feeder” tournaments offering berths to the main Friday contest are available daily for $38 per entry.
“HorsePlayers.com is the only place where one entry can simultaneously win you berths to the NHC and the BCBC,” said NHC Tournament Director Keith Chamblin. “Now if you have a huge day in April, you can be fully qualified for the two most important annual contests that are still months away.”
The 19th NTRA National Horseplayers Championship Presented by Racetrack Television Network, STATS Race Lens™ and Treasure Island Las Vegas will be held Feb. 9-11, 2018, at Treasure Island. The $1 million-estimated BCBC, which offers 15 seats to the NHC in addition to cash prizes and has a buy-in of $10,000, will be held in conjunction with the Breeders' Cup World Championships Nov. 3-4.
