+HAVANA STAR (IRE) (c, 2, Havana Gold {Ire}–Nagham {Ire}, by Camacho {GB}) was slightly awkward at the break and chased the leaders in seventh after the initial strides of this debut. Under pressure and detached from the main body of the field passing halfway, the 10-1 chance powered into contention along the rail approaching the final furlong and kept on strongly for continued urging in the closing stages, despite a late leftward drift, to score by a neck from Rockin Fella (Ire) (Society Rock {Ire}). The €37,000 GOFSPT yearling, who becomes the first winner for Tweenhills Farm & Stud's G1 Prix Jean Prat-winning sire Havana Gold (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}), is the only foal produced by Nagham (Ire) (Camacho {GB}), herself a winning daughter of Happy Talk (Ire) (Hamas {Ire}), who in turn is a winning half-sister to GIII Boiling Springs Breeders' Cup H. winner and G1 Irish 1000 Guineas third Storm Dream (Ire) (Catrail).
