Fleet-Footed Dunkirk Colt Brings $575K

His dam may be named Missy Turtle, but there was nothing slow about this Dunkirk colt at Friday’s training preview for the Barretts March sale. He breezed the sale’s quickest furlong in :9 3/5, and subsequently returned a winning bid of $575,000 Monday evening from Demi O’Byrne, who had already acquired a Malibu Moon colt for $675,000 earlier in the session. Purchased by Bruno DeBerdt for $50,000 as a yearling at FTKOCT, DeBerdt’s Excel Bloodstock consigned hip 67, who was bred by Harvey A Clarke Racing Stable LLC.
