Soul Stirring came through this test in very pleasing fashion. A first top-level winner for Frankel (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) when she won the G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies last December the 3-year-old was making her first appearance since. Settled in fifth place by Christophe Lemaire, the striking dark bay made smooth progress to track the leaders before the turn in. Shaken up to take the lead approaching the furlong pole, the blue-blooded daughter of MG1SW Stacelita (Fr) (Monsun {Ger}) stretched clear to beat Miss Panthere by an eased-down by two lengths with her ears pricked. This should set Soul Stirring up nicely for her first major target this season, the G1 Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) at Hanshin on Apr. 9.
