French Option For Jet Setting

G1 Irish 1000 Guineas winner Jet Setting (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}) could have one more run this season, according to trainer Adrian Keatley. The 3-year-old, who had rebounded from a pair of off-the-board finishes at Group 1 level to win the G3 Concorde S. Oct. 2, was a disappointing 11th of 13 behind Minding (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in last Saturday's G1 Queen Elizabeth II S. at Ascot on British Champions Day. Keatley put that poor effort down to the going.

“She came home in great form and it was just unfortunate the rain came 12 hours too late,” he said. “It started raining as she was coming home on Saturday night and didn't stop. It's a shame, as she's in really good form, but it's the luck of the draw and that's the way it goes sometimes.”

“She's perfect and there's a possibility she could go to France for a Group 3 at the end of the month,” Keatley added. “No decision has been made on whether Jet Setting will stay in training next season. It would be nice to have a look at a few races next spring, but nothing is definite.”
