FORD ROADSTER (g, 2, Roadster–She Nailed It, by Corfu) and fellow Roadster offspring Strike went right at each other after the jump, and the race was on in this baby dash.
Dueling through an opening quarter-mile in :21.96, the pair swung into the lane refusing to give the other peace but Ford Roadster eventually got the best of his rival. Inching forward nearing the line, the Ramon Minguet trainee put a half-length on the two behind him to post an 11-1 upset. Strike won the photo for the runner-up honors by a head as the rest of the field finished over 15 lengths behind the lead trio.
The victor is the first starter and winner for his freshman sire (by Quality Road), but is the most recent to get his picture taken for She Nailed It behind successful elder sister Tre Dita (Adios Charlie). They have a yearling half-brother by Win Win Win and the mare is due back to Adios Charlie this spring.
