SOUTHERN STARS (GB) (Smart Strike), one of two nominees from John Gosden's Newmarket barn, is a daughter of G1 Prix de Diane winner Stacelita (Fr) (Monsun {Ger}), who prevailed five times at the highest level on both sides of the Atlantic. Teruya Yoshida's homebred, who was a debut fifth at Doncaster last October, is joined by twice-raced stablemate Taqdees (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), a granddaughter of another MG1SW G1 Prix de Diane winner Aquarelliste (Fr) (Danehill). The field of 11 also includes Juddmonte homebred debutante Atone (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), who is a full-sister to three-time G1 Nassau S. heroine and GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Midday (GB), from the Sir Michael Stoute stable. Additional lustre is provided by Ed Dunlop trainee Gloryette (GB) (Raven's Pass), who is kin to G1 Racing Post Trophy runner-up Elusive Pimpernel (Elusive Quality).

Flaxman Stables Ireland Ltd and Will Farish's EYESHINE (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) is a daughter of the latter's 2003 G1 Epsom Oaks heroine Casual Look (Red Ransom) and makes her debut in another deep division of this maiden. She is joined by her John Gosden-trained stablemate and fellow firster Taqaareed (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), a Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum homebred out of three-time stakes scorer and G2 Lancashire Oaks runner-up Ezima (Ire) (Sadler's Wells), who is thus a full-sister to the 2014 G1 Epsom Oaks and G1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth S. victress Taghrooda (GB). Also in opposition is the Niarchos Family's Shall We (Ire) (Dansili {GB}), a Sir Michael Stoute-trained daughter of the 1999 GI E.P. Taylor S. winner Insight (Fr), herself kin to G1 Irish 2000 Guineas hero Saffron Walden (Fr) (Sadler's Wells) and G1 Prix de la Foret winner Dolphin Street (Fr) (Bluebird); and Godolphin debutante Final Stage (GB) (Street Cry {Ire}), who is a half-sister to the 2009 G1 St Leger and 2010 G1 Hong Kong Vase victor Mastery (GB) (Sulamani {Ire}).
