Friend, Belief Atop Longines Rankings

Hong Kong’s Able Friend (Aus) (Shamardal)–who bolstered his profile with a win in the G1 Champions Mile last weekend and is now set for a trip to Royal Ascot–and American champion Shared Belief (Candy Ride {Arg})–winner of this year’s GI Santa Anita H. and GII San Antonio H.–remained tied for the top position in the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings with a mark of 125. 

American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) jumps up the list this month with a rating for 124 for his win in the GI Kentucky Derby, making him a joint second with GI Dubai Turf victor Solow (GB) (Singspiel {Ire}). 
Hong Kong’s Designs On Rome (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}) and Australian sprinter Lankan Rupee (Aus) (Redoute’s Choice {Aus}) occupy the third spot with marks of 123, and sophomores Firing Line (Line of David), second in the Kentucky Derby, and Gleneagles (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), winner of Britain’s G1 2000 Guineas on the same day, are tied with ratings of 122.
