A bay colt (hip 461) by Friesan Fire caused some fireworks at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale Tuesday, after breezing a furlong in a co-bullet :10 flat during last week's under tack show. Knocked down on a bid of $825,000 from J J Crupi, who was sitting with Dennis O'Neill , the colt is a son of SW Crafty Toast (Crafty Prospector) and was consigned by Scanlon Training & Sales, Agent VI. Sold for $35,000 as a Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Fall yearling, the May foal was bred by Hope Hill Farm in Pennsylvania and his second dam is GIII Beaugay H. heroine Give A Toast (Storm Bird). Doug O'Neill will train.
