A rare opportunity to purchase a 2-year-old in training Stateside by leading international stallion Galileo (Ire) brought fireworks midway through the Barretts March Sale Monday, as Kin Hui–co-owner of 'TDN Rising star' Diamond Bachelor (War Front)–went to $625,000 for the Irish-bred Awesome Diamond. The daughter of Adoration (Honor Grades)–a MGISW in California–was consigned by Wavertree Stables Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent IX. Hip 77 was purchased last year at Keeneland September for $250,000 by Patrick Biancone. She breezed in :10 2/5 at Thursday's under-tack show.
