Galileo Filly Brings 800,000gns at Tatts Opener

A filly by super sire Galileo (Ire) attracted a final bid of 800,000gns from the Pritchard-Gordon's Badgers Bloodstock, acting on behalf of Australian Paul Makin, during Wednesday's opening session of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. The yearling, a 3/4-sister to G1 Epsom Derby winner Pour Moi (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), was consigned by Camas Park Stud. The sale came just shortly after the yearling's full-sister Kissed (Ire), a 900,000gns purchase by John Magnier at this sale last year, became a TDN Rising Star in her debut at Navan. Earlier in the session, another filly by Galileo (Ire), this one out of Caumshinaun (Ire) (Indian Ridge {Ire}), sold for 700,000gns to the bid of Course Investment Corp. The yearling was consigned by the Castlebridge Consignment.
