Renowned bloodstock agent Richard Galpin made the first big splash of Wednesday's session of the Keeneland January Sale, going to $330,000 for the six-year-old racing or broodmare prospect Royal Alchemist (GB) (Kingsinger {Ire}–Pure Gold, by Dilum). Galpin signed the ticket for an unnamed client.
