Germany's Classic protagonists strut their stuff on Sunday, where Krefeld's G3 Dr Busch-Memorial serves as an early snapshot of the country's pecking order. Intriguingly, Stall Antanando's Parthenius (Ger) (Soldier Hollow {GB}) and Gestut Rottgen's El Loco (Ger) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) renew rivalry after a nose separated them when first and second, respectively, in the G3 Herzog von Ratibor-Rennen over this course and distance in November. The former is a full-brother to the same owner's triple Group 1 winner Pastorius (Ger), while another with high-class connections is Jaber Abdullah's six-length Listed Junioren-Preis winner Noor Al Hawa (Fr) (Makfi {GB}), a son of the 2007 G1 Sun Chariot S. winner Majestic Roi (Street Cry {Ire}). Dr Alexandra Renz's Millowitsch (Ger) (Sehrezad {Ire}) was third in the G3 Baden-Badener Zukunftsrennen in September and offers more solid pattern-race form, while Gestut Sommerberg's Capitano (Ger) (Paolini {Ger}) is one of the unknown quantities after his debut win at this track and trip in November.
