The German Tote has joined the Tabcorp wagering pools in a deal that will involve the German Tote taking all Australian Thoroughbred and harness racing and co-mingling their betting pools with Tabcorp. The German Tote is the latest in a series of international pooling partners for Tabcorp, others including Phumelela (South Africa), Singapore Turf Club, Hong Kong Jockey Club and New Zealand Racing Board.
“As well as adding to the liquidity of the German Tote and Tabcorp pools, this arrangement will take Australian racing to a new international audience,” said Tabcorp's Chief Operating Officer of Wagering and Media, Craig Nugent.
Tabcorp has also expanded its agreement with the Swedish Horse Racing Totalisator Board to add a third day of Australian harness racing.
