Giant's Colt Causes a Buzz

Weanlings continued to be the flavor of the day at Keeneland, and a March-foaled colt by Giant's Causeway out of Queen's Music (Dixieland Band) realized a final bid of $310,000. He was the top seller as the fifth session of the November sale reached its midway point. Consigned by Noel Murphy's Castle Park Stud LLC as agent, the attractive chestnut colt is a half to GSP Anna Walhaan and hails from a strong European black-type family, which includes GSWs Splendent and Aim for the Top. Hip 1629 is bred on the exact same cross which produced GISW First Samurai. The winning ticket was signed by Gainesway's Brian Graves for Clear Ridge Stable.
