Grove Stud consignee Noahs Ark, who hit the board in the 2004 GI Garden City Breeders' Cup H., made the first major splash on day two of Tattersalls' December Mares Sale when selling to James Wigan's London Thoroughbred Services for 500,000gns. Offered as Hip 1689 in foal to Sea the Stars (Ire), she is the dam of three winners including the black-type performers Temps Au Temps (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and After (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), who both ran fourth in consecutive editions of the G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains. Underbidders included Ibrahim Araci and Badgers Bloodstock. “She is a lovely, good-walking individual,” commented Wigan. “She has been purchased for Nathaniel and is a very good proven mare. Warning [sire of Charnwood Forest] and [damsire] Rainbow Quest are great influences.”
