Glorious Protector Eyes the Manhattan

Glorious Protector (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}), the winner of the listed August S. at Windsor in August, could make his seasonal debut in the GI Manhattan H. June 6. He was fifth last time in the G3 St Simon S. at Newbury in October.

“He did an excellent piece of work the other day and I couldn't be more happier with him,” said trained Ed Walker. “The plan is to go for the Manhattan H. over 10 furlongs, which is the bare minimum trip for him. I expect to see him finish well as he is likely to get the sort of strong pace which he needs. Hopefully he will be an exciting horse we can campaign abroad this year.”
