Godolphin Purchases Vineyard Haven

GI Champagne S. and GI Hopeful S. winner Vineyard Haven (Lido Palace {Chi}) has been sold for an undisclosed price by a partnership consisting of Bobby Frankel, Joe Torre and Louis Lazzinnaro to Godolphin Racing, according to published reports. According to Frankel, the deal was finalized Saturday. “I had an offer I couldn't refuse,” Frankel told DRF. “That's why I sold.” Vineyard Haven, currently with Frankel's stable at Belmont Park, is scheduled to be shipped to Kentucky to clear quarantine before heading to Dubai.
