American-based Drafted (Field Commission), a winner of his lone start in track-record time for 4 1/2 furlongs during the Keeneland Spring Meet, was purchased privately by Godolphin and is set to make his British debut in the Listed Windsor Castle S. at Royal Ascot June 14. Eoin Harty will continue to train the grey colt.
“He worked on turf over five furlongs at Arlington, and it was a fantastic piece of work,” Harty said on the Godolphin website Tuesday. “He's straightforward and precocious. We are always on the look-out for horses with potential and he's basically ideal for what we have in mind. He's your typical precocious 2-year-old. He's got a big quarter horse forearm–and he is fast. He leaves here [the U.S.] on Thursday [June 2].”
