Best Of Days (GB) (Azamour {Ire}), a six length maiden winner at Sandown on his debut last month has been purchased by Godolphin but will remain under the care of trainer Hugo Palmer. Bred by Gerhard Schoeningh, in whose colours he raced at Sandown, Best Of Days is entered for the G3 Tattersalls Acomb S. at York next week. “He's in great nick after his Sandown win,” reported Hugo Palmer. “The immediate options are York or Salisbury, but he is a colt with long-term potential. He is a very nice horse and it's nice to be training another for Godolphin.” It is the second purchase Godolphin have made from Palmer's yard following Home of The Brave (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}) who rewarded the team's faith with a win in the G3 Timeform Jury S. at Haydock before finishing second to another recent Godolphin purchase Dutch Connection (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}) in the G2 Qatar Lennox S. at Goodwood.
