Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum’s Godolphin Racing was named the Eclipse Award-winning owner Saturday evening in Miami following a season that included wins at the highest level by Alpha (Bernardini), Emcee (Unbridled’s Song), It’s Tricky (Mineshaft) and Questing (GB) (Hard Spun). It was the third Eclipse Award for Sheikh Mohammed, who won in 2006 with Darley and with Godolphin in 2009. Midwest Thoroughbreds, the nation’s leading owner by number of victories, was second.
