Goffs brought down the curtain on its 2015 sale season Thursday with the second and final session of the December National Hunt Sale. A total of 325 horses changed hands for €3,250,500, compared to €2,743,200 for 34 fewer sold 12 months ago. The average and median were up 6% and 7%, respectively, to €10,002 and €7,500. The buyback rate was up substantially to 33.5%.
Topping trade was lot 301, a French-bred colt foal by Walk In The Park (Ire). He was hammered down to LG Walker for €70,000 Thursday. The 8-year-old mare Polly's Present (Ire) (Presenting {GB}) (lot 558) sold in-foal to Fame And Glory (GB) for €50,000 to BLM Bloodstock, while another colt foal, lot 318 by Robin des Champs (Fr), filled the third spot when selling for €40,000 to Redpender Stud.
