Goffs Increases National Sponsorship

Air Force Blue | Goffs

The G1 Goffs Vincent O'Brien National S. at The Curragh will this year have its purse boosted to €350,000 after Goffs increased its commitment to the 2-year-old showpiece. The Goffs Vincent O'Brien National S. is run on Irish Champions Weekend in September and has been won in recent years by the likes of Dubawi (Ire), New Approach (Ire) and his son Dawn Approach (Ire), Mastercraftsman (Ire), Power (Ire) and Gleneagles (Ire). Last year, when the purse was €300,000, it was won by champion 2-year-old Air Force Blue (War Front).

“We are delighted to further demonstrate Goffs's support of Irish Racing by increasing our commitment to what is undoubtedly one of Europe's premier 2-year-old races,” said Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby. “Since Goffs began this sponsorship in 2011 the prize fund has grown from €200,000 to €350,000, which underlines the caliber of this world-class race.”
