Fresh from a third straight victory in the GI Breeders' Cup Mile, owners Alain and Gerard Wertheimer have confirmed the news the whole of turfdom has been waiting hear–Goldikova (Ire) (Anabaa) will remain in training next year. “She won her last race so well,” explained Gerard Wertheimer, who along with his brother was attending yesterday's Keeneland November sale in Lexington. “So that is the main reason we decided to keep her in training. And the other reason is that my brother and I think that to keep a horse in training for a longer time is very good for us and also for the public, because it is very important to have the public behind a horse. It's very good for racing.” Alain Wertheimer added, “The public gets used to the name and, if they race a little bit more, we think it will help the Thoroughbred industry.”
