GRAND PLANS FOR FIESOLANA
G1 Matron S. scorer Fiesolana (Ire) (Aussie Rules) had her first work since that Sept. 13 career high yesterday, and the Flaxman Stables colorbearer could have a pair of high profile international events on her agenda. Trainer Willie McCreery noted that he is looking at the G1 Prix de la Foret Oct. 5 at Longchamp and potentially the Nov. 1 G1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Santa Anita, for which the 5-year-old gained an automatic entry with her Matron win.
“She's very good,” McCreery noted. “She did her first bit of work [yesterday] since the Matron and it went grand. She's in the Foret and we've also entered her for the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf, as the Matron was a 'Win and You're In' race.”
