A pair of yearlings consigned by Eric Lhermite's Haras de Grandcamp topped the sheets on the final day of trade at the Arqana Autumn Sale in Deauville.

Blandford Bloodstock's Stuart Boman went back to work for new Chinese owner Zhiqiang An, for whom he purchased future stakes winner Lilac Fairy (Fr) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}) for €120,000 at the 2016 October Yearling Sale. This time Boman paid €70,000 for lot 502, a filly by the in-form Dabirsim (Fr) (Hat Trick {Jpn}) and the first foal out of Oliandra (Fr) (Lando {Ger}), a half-sister to GSW & G1SP Olorda (Ger) (Lord of England {Ger}). Boman confirmed that Francis-Henri Graffard, who conditions Lilac Fairy, would also be getting this newest purchase.

” I am a big fan of the sire and have previously attempted to buy a yearling by him, but this is the first one I am laying my hands on,” the agent commented. “She looks pretty racy and was born in March. She really stood out today.”

Polish owner Andrej Zielinski has been a steady patron of this sale, where his trainer Adam Wyrzyk purchased Caccini (Fr) (American Post {GB}) three years ago. Caccini went on to win the 2016 Polish Derby and the country's most important weight-for-age race, the Wielka Warszawska. Zielinski purchased lot 566 Wednesday, a March-foaled colt and first produce from Striking Creation (Ire) (Smart Strike), a daughter of SW & G1/GISP Anabaa's Creation (Ire) (Anabaa).
