Saturday's G1 UBET Classic–better known as the Robert Sangster S.–has drawn a large and competitive lineup of filly and mare sprinters. Griante (Aus) (Good Journey) upset the G1 Galaxy H. going 1100 metres at Rosehill Mar. 19, and looks to bounce back for her second Group 1 win after checking in just sixth in the G2 Sapphire S. Apr. 9. The 5-year-old mare is joint- favourite at 7-1 with Don't Doubt Mamma (Aus) (Not A Single Doubt {Aus}), who has rarely put in a bad run, having won five of her 12 starts and having finished off the board just three times. The 3-year-old gets a weight allowance of three pounds, and comes into this off a win in the Redelva S. going 1100 metres over this track Apr. 23. She tries this distance for the first time but has won over further.
Petits Filous (Aus) (Street Boss) has won five from seven. She suffered her first loss when 10th, albeit beaten 3 1/2 lengths, behind Buffering (Aus) (Mossman {Aus}) in the G1 Moir S. last October. She bounced back to win a Caulfield handicap first-up Mar. 26, but was a head-scratching last of 13 in the G2 Arrowfield 3YO Sprint at The Championships Apr. 9.
