Group Producer Sold On Arqana Online

Blissful Beat (GB) (Beat Hollow {GB}), the dam of Group 3 winner Home of the Brave (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}), was bought by agent Justin Carthy's RJB Bloodstock for €235,000 on Arqana Online. The 10-year-old mare was offered by Haras du Grand Chene in foal to leading French sire Le Havre.
Carthy, who bred last year's triple Group 1-winning filly Alice Springs (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), was acting on behalf of a group of Irish breeders including himself, and said the mare would foal in Ireland and be bred back to The Gurkha (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). The Gurkha is new to Coolmore this year, after having won last year's G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains and G1 Sussex S.
“The Gurkha is bred on the same Galileo/Danehill Dancer cross as Alice Springs and was a top miler so he's a very exciting new sire,” said Carthy. “I think it could be a very good mating for her.”
