Marc A. Guilfoil, executive director of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission, has been honored with the Len Foote Award from the Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI). The Len Foote Award is presented each year to an executive director in recognition of exemplary service and contribution to racing integrity.
“The Public Protection Cabinet (PPC) congratulates Marc on this outstanding recognition,” said PPC Secretary David A. Dickerson. “He serves Kentucky and the sport of horse racing with integrity, professionalism and fairness. This is a well-deserved acknowledgement.”
Gov. Matt Bevin appointed Guilfoil as executive director of the KHRC in January of 2016. Guilfoil began his career at the racing commission in 1988, having served in a number of roles including deputy executive director and director of racing.
