Average daily handle over the course of the 35 days of racing was $8,668,741, a 12.5% increase over 2016. Average field size for the 329 races contested from Sept. 8 to Oct. 28 was 8.17, a 7.5% increase over 2016. On-track handle dipped slightly from $37,566,563 to $37,259,201.
