A colt from the first-crop of Grade I winner Hard Spun (Danzig) attracted a final bid of $575,000 at Fasig-Tipton's Florida sale. Reiley McDonald signed the ticket on behalf of Brushwood Stables. The gray worked an eighth Monday in :09 4/5. He is out of Princess Patricia (Aptitude), a half-sister to champion turf mare Forever Together (Belong to Me). The youngster, consigned by Ciaran Dunne's Wavertree Stables, was purchased by Dapple Bloodstock for $160,000 at last year's Keeneland September sale.
