+TIMELINE (c, 3, Hard Spun–Azorina, by Empire Maker) entered this unveiling as a bit of a talking horse, and might've caused those in the know to start ripping up their tickets prematurely before he came rolling late. Sitting midpack while out in the clear, the 2-1 chalk and $500,000 KEESEP yearling was scrubbed on for more approaching the straight, but didn't seem to be responding. Second timer Giuseppe the Great (Lookin At Lucky) took the lead in upper stretch, but soon the light came on for Timeline and he powered past rivals to get up by a half-length while pretty much under a hand ride. Fayeq (Malibu Moon), the $800,000 KEESEP acquisition and half-sister to the great Rachel Alexandra (Medaglia d'oro), did well to be a fast-finishing third after a very wide journey. Timeline's second dam is GISW Aldiza (Storm Cat)–he hails from the extremely strong and highly coveted family of Courtly Dee. Azorina has a 2-year-old half-sister named Mrs Hughes (Into Mischief) and a yearling full brother. She visited Hard Spun again last year. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $22,800.
