WinStar stallion Harlan’s Holiday (Harlan–Christmas in Aiken, by Affirmed) established a North American juvenile earnings record in 2012, with his 2-year-olds earning $2,954,556 during the year. The previous record of $2,811,337 was set in 2008 by Gainesway’s Tapit.
“We are extremely pleased with Harlan’s Holiday,” said WinStar President and CEO Elliott Walden. “The neat thing about him is he just turned 14, so the best is yet to come. His books and mares continue to improve each year.”
Harlan’s Holiday’s 2-year-old runners last were led by GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Shanghai Bobby.
