The Tattersalls December Yearling catalogue, which includes siblings to 85 group and listed performers and progeny of both Galileo (Ire) and his son Frankel (GB), is online. The single-day sale Nov. 21 features 200 yearlings, including a Frankel half-brother to Tuesday's G1 Melbourne Cup favourite Hartnell (GB) (Authorized {Ire}) (lot 166). The two others catalogued by flying first-season sire Frankel are a half-brother to multiple Group 3 winner Ladies Are Forever (GB) (Monsieur Bond {Ire}) (lot 146) and a colt out of a half-sister to G1 Irish Derby winner Cape Blanco (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) (lot 177).
Galileo has two catalogued: a colt who is the first foal out of Better Not Cry (Street Cry {Ire}), a half-sister to GI Belmont S. winners Rags To Riches (A.P. Indy) and Jazil (Seeking the Gold) out of champion broodmare Better Than Honour (Deputy Minister) (lot 165) and a colt out of GI Beverly D. S. winner Mauralakana (Fr) (Mutathir {GB}) (lot 176).
Also catalogued are siblings to Grade/Group 1 winners Gitano Hernando (GB) (Hernando {Fr}), Joshua Tree (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), Arctic Cosmos (North Light {Ire}), Dariana (Aus) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}) and sisters Charity Line (Ire) (Manduro {Ger}), Cherry Collect (Ire) (Oratorio {Ire}) and Final Score (Ire) (Dylan Thomas {Ire}).
“The Tattersalls December Yearling Sale is a consistent source of Group 1 winners and this year's catalogue looks a bit special,” said Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony. “Nine of the current top 10 sires in Britain and Ireland have yearlings catalogued and as well as 17 yearlings eligible for £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonuses, owners will find 30 more eligible for either the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes or the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Stakes and nearly 100 eligible for the Plus 10 Scheme.”
