Heritage Centre Open Over Christmas

The National Heritage Centre at Palace House in Newmarket will be open over Christmas, with the exception of Christmas Day itself. The hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Dec. 26 to Jan. 3. Attractions at the Heritage Centre include a racehorse simulator, childrens' multimedia guide, daily demonstrations with horses and the chance to meet some top-class former racehorses. Chris Garibaldi, Palace House Director, says, “Boxing Day and the days between Christmas and New Year are traditionally busy days for museums and attractions, so this year for the first time we will be open over the whole holiday period. We hope that local residents come and visit our wonderful new National Heritage Centre and have an enjoyable day out. There is so much to see and do here, whether you are a racing enthusiast or have never set foot on a racecourse, and of course you can upgrade your admission ticket on the day to an annual pass free of charge and come back and see us as many times as you like over the next 12 months.”
