Trainer Robert Hickmott, who recently left his post as private trainer to six-time G1 Melbourne Cup-winning owner Lloyd Williams, was on Wednesday cleared by Racing Victoria to stand in for trainer John Sadler while he serves a six-week suspension, according to Racing.com.
Sadler has been suspended until Feb. 5 for misconduct after several run-ins with stewards after they forced the scratching of a horse under his care at Sandown last month on the belief it had been treated with bicarbonate the day before.
