A fraction of every purchase of the Horse Player NOW BUZZ Report, the company's signature horses-to-watch and daily handicapping service, will be donated to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation for the remainder of calendar year 2016, officials at HPN announced Thursday. Effective immediately, 10% of all sales will be earmarked to support retired racehorses. Prices for monthly and quarterly subscription plans have also been cut to all-time lows–$50 for a month-to-month subscription and $100 quarterly. Saturday-only packages are available for $15. Existing subscribers with recurring billing will be entitled to the new pricing.
“Honesty and trust are what we preach,” said Jeremy Plonk, owner of Horse Player NOW. “I felt it was necessary not only to give our customers a price break, but also to pay forward our success in the industry to the horses who made it all possible. Good karma goes a long way for horseplayers.”
“For more than 30 years, some of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation's most loyal donors have been horseplayers who want to give back to the horses who make the sport possible,” said Diana Pikulski, Director of External Affairs for the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation. “It is especially exciting that Horse Player NOW, which is revolutionizing Thoroughbred racing in a much-needed way, is making TRF part of their business model. It is great for the TRF and great for the sport. We are extremely thankful.”
