Student summer internship positions are available beginning in June 2017, Horse Racing Ireland announced Wednesday. The six positions offered are full-time paid placements over a 10-12 week period with roles available in HRI Marketing and Tote Ireland, a subsidiary of HRI based in HRI's head office in Ballymany, The Curragh, Co Kildare. There are also positions open at Fairyhouse, Leopardstown, Navan and Tipperary racecourses.
Now in its fourth year, the internship program is a unique opportunity for students to expand their industry contracts, broaden their knowledge and gain valuable experience in all aspects of the racing industry including marketing, communications, social media, sales, racecourse operations, race day planning and event management. Open to students from all backgrounds with an interest in the promotion of racing and the sport itself, the internship programme is open to students in any year of any course.
